Sunday Vibes …. The Heat Has Arrived

"Sometimes I have loved the peacefulness of an ordinary Sunday. It is like standing in a newly planted garden after a warm rain. You can feel the silent and invisible life." ~ Marilynne Robinson

This past week I lost quite a few of my sweet little succulents due to the extreme temperatures we had here in Phoenix.  At 116 degrees to 118 degrees, I don’t think I would have been able to survive the hot blazing sun either.  I tried to protect them as best I could, but the heat just about did them in.

I spent the morning repotting all of the succulents that I had outside into small pots so I could bring them inside.  I was not able to save them all but at least I was able to save quite a few.

The rest of my day has been spent relaxing with my hubby and our sweet boy Cody, who definitely knows how to relax on a Sunday.  It’s now time
for a cup of tea and my book.

I have started a new series (new to me that is)by Alexander McCall Smith called
The Sunday Philosophy Club.  I just finished the first book and have started reading the second in the series, Friends, Lovers, Chocolate.  So far I am enjoying this cozy murder mystery series, and look forward to reading them all!

Until next time, be creative!

    1. Thank you Karen. A few of these are poisonous to animals but the majority are safe. Here’s a great link to check out https://succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/toxic-and-non-toxic-succulents-for-pets
