Wednesday WIPs

Yesterday I received my beautiful Nua yarn kit from Carol Feller of Stolen Stitches.  This yarn is gorgeous and I can’t wait to start the Rusty Lines KAL !

The color I purchased is called Harvest Moon, a rich coppery brown that echoes the colors of fall.  It is perfect and such a scrumptiously soft yarn that I look forward to knitting with!

Currently on my needles is a pair of bulky weight slipper socks that I am making for my hubby in Patons Classic Wool bulky.  These are speedy to make and I have been able to knit them as I work (I work from home taking).  The first one was finished in a day and the mate was almost finished yesterday.  The pattern I used is a free one called Slipper Socks and is designed by Veronica Van of Dream of Color. I love knitting these slipper socks and plan to make a few more pairs for me and my hubby.  They are speedy, warm and wear well.

also plan to make a pair of Cascading Leaves , also designed by Veronica Van,
but can’t seem to decided on my yarn yet.  I love this pattern, simple in the front and leaves in the back.  This design is perfect to keep me interested and will be a nice addition to my growing sock drawer!
