Wednesday WIPs ..... A Little Crochet For Summer

Have you ever had a coveted skein of handspun that you just don’t know what to use it for or can’t seem to find just the right pattern for it ?

I have a few skeins like that and this particular squishy soft skein of handspun has been in my stash forever.  While searching for patterns on Ravelry, I found the perfect design for this skein of handspun, Among the Wildflowers by CJ Brady.    I’m super excited that my yarn and this design is a match made in heaven!

Handspun:  Funky Carolina Superwash Merino in the color Haunted.
Yardage: 4 oz that yield  270 yards of 2-ply sport weight
Creation Date:  2010 Tour De Fleece
Hook:  Size G by Furls Odyssey Crochet Hook

I’m still working on my Buttercup and it’s slowly but surely coming along.  I really do love the LB Collection Cotton Jeans.  This yarn is very soft and really shows off the stitch definition of the lace design.

Also on my needles are my Vanilla Socks and my Tea At Bertram’s socks.  I haven’t given either project too much love but I really need too.

What are you working on this week?

Until next time, be creative!

    1. Thank you so much Kat and you really should. I love crochet for it's sheer simplicity, especially for lace. It's also very quick!

  2. I have too many skeins that need a project. I am hoping to figure that out this summer and my break begins at 4 pm today!

    1. I totally know where you're coming from and I am in the same boat. A few months ago I deduced to give quite a few skeins of yarn to new homes. Now I just need to come with ideas for what is left. I look forward to seeing what you decide on :)
