Thursday Happenings .... Knitting, Crocheting and Sharing

I haven’t accomplished too much this week in the regards to my knitting WIP, Buttercup by Heidi Kirrmaier , which is a free download.  I really love the LB Collection Cotton Jeans.  The stitch definition is awesome and it is knitting up beautifully!

I am almost finished with my handspun crocheted shawl and just have the edging to finish.  Due to yardage restraints, I made a slight modification and did not increase the body of the shawl as much.  I this this will be more of a scarf when blocked out, which is ok with me.  The pattern I’m using is Among the Wildflowers by CJ Brady.  I purchased most of her  crochet shawl  collection and look forward to using my handspun for her designs.

On another note, you may find a few broken links to Ravelry in older posts and the reason being, I closed my account.  I did this for personal reasons but will still spot light the creativity of others and will link to their patterns when I am able too.

If you are searching for other means to patterns, don’t forget you can find downloadable patterns
from these sources too :

Interweave also offers many downloaded options for magazines, patterns and books, as well as Shop Martingale and Storey Publishing.

This of course is not all the sites out there, but do check these sources out as many offer free
downloads too!

Until next time, be creative!
